LaKeisha J. Johnson was born and reared in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana. She graduated from Neville High School before attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Legal Studies. She attended law school at Louisiana State University's Paul Hebert Law Center where she obtained both a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) and a Juris Doctorate (JD). She then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School during her tenure as a Judicial Clerk at the Fourth Judicial District Court in Ouachita Parish. As an attorney, LaKeisha has spent the last decade working with represented and self-represented individuals in both civil and criminal matters in parishes across North Louisiana, as well as conducting free workshops, seminars, and lectures on a variety of topics of interest to the public and legal community, from state and federal legislation to ethics and professionalism.
